My Dad and I are getting our CCW permits on Sunday, May 15th. The cost is $100 unless we get more than 5 people, then it cost $85. The class is from 8AM -4PM, I think we meet at Top Gun in Arnold at 8AM to do the shooting portion then go to Sisters Tea House for lunch and the rest of the class.
If anyone else is interested, let me know and I will provide more details as we get closer to that time.

ReplyDeleteI would highly reconmend getting it at stlccw.com . Greg Pugh is the instructor. He teaches you how to use your gun in a real word situation. Super nice guy. I have talked with many that have gotten their ccw elsewhere and where very unhappy. Sure you got the certificate, but thats all. Greg asks what you plan on carrying, where on your body, when to pull it, how to use it, shoot twice then scan. Also teaches you the law battle afterwords if you do have to use your weapon. Its a small class so its one on one when shooting. Don't waste your money at Top Gun or any of these other generic classes. Read Stlccw.com and/or call me at 314-226-6420 and I will tell you more.
ReplyDeleteThe class in not thru Top Gun, that is just where we do the shooting portion. Also, this class is a small group of people as well and the class will consist of as many people as we want to bring (probably 5-6 people). My Dad has spoken to many people who have taken this guys class and they have all said how in depth the information is and everyone was very pleased with the information they received. Thanks for the heads up though. I, like you, research things like this before I make a decision such as this and I hate wasting money also.
